Details

1. Start on wet or very damp hair
Curl defining brushes work best when hair is hydrated. Apply your leave-in conditioner or curl cream first — slip is key.
2. Section your hair
Work in small to medium sections. Too much hair at once = less definition.
3. Brush with tension

  • Hold the section taut

  • Brush from root to ends

  • As you reach the ends, slightly twist or rotate the brush to encourage the curl to spring back into shape
4. Let the curl form
After brushing, allow the curl to coil naturally. Don’t pull it straight or overwork it.
5. Scrunch + set
Once your whole head is brushed:

  • Scrunch gently to reinforce the curl

  • Apply gel or mousse if you want extra hold

  • Air-dry or diffuse without touching too much
